Making a small investment in good quality crib sheets and bedding most always makes it completely unnecessary to have extra blankets, though it’s not a completely bad idea to keep some on hand. Cotton, which is breathable in warm weather and insulates in the cold, is a great choice.
Placing a fleece sheet between a baby’s crib mattress and the regular sheet will provide an extra layer of insulation for those infants in colder climates. Choose colors and designs that are gender-neutral if you have not yet learned the sex of your unborn baby; this way a boy will not end up with a girlie room and a girl will not end up with a boyish looking crib set.
